Cappucino - how to make it?
Cappuccino is one of the most popular coffee drinks in the world, combining the strength of espresso with the softness and creaminess of milk. Although often enjoyed in cafés, it can easily be made at home.
What is a cappuccino?
Cappuccino is a coffee drink traditionally made from three equal parts:
-
1/3 espresso
-
1/3 steamed milk
-
1/3 milk foam
A perfect cappuccino is balanced, with a rich coffee flavor and a light, airy foam layer on top.
Required ingredients:
-
1 shot of freshly brewed espresso (approx. 30 ml)
-
100 ml whole milk
Necessary equipment:
-
Espresso machine or moka pot
-
Milk frother (steam wand, hand frother, or electric device)
-
Coffee grinder (if using whole beans)
Step-by-step: How to make a cappuccino
1. Brew the espresso
Use freshly ground Arabica or a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans from WayCoffee to ensure a rich and aromatic base for your cappuccino.
2. Heat and froth the milk
Heat the milk to about 65°C and froth it until it becomes silky and airy. Ideally, the foam should form a thicker layer without large bubbles.
3. Combine the ingredients
Pour the espresso into a coffee cup, add the steamed milk, and gently spoon the milk foam on top. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa powder for decoration.
Tips for the perfect cappuccino:
-
Use only freshly roasted and high-quality beans
-
Do not overheat the milk, as it loses sweetness and texture
-
The foam consistency should be silky and smooth
